Michael Jackson’s children do not know their mother and wish to stay with Michael’s relatives said family friend Jesse Jackson regarding reports of an upcoming custody battle.
Jesse Jackson whom is famous for his political career and his many high profile activist movements said on Saturday he doubted that the best interests of the children would be served if the biological mother of the “King of Pop’s” eldest son and daughter were to claim for custody. "At this point Mrs Rowe has not been in their lives. They do not know her; she does not know them," said the close adviser to the musical family. He spoke of family concerns regarding this matter. "I'm convinced the family feels that the children will be more secure with their grandparents and with their cousins in this relationship."
Mrs Rowe, who was married to Jackson between 1996 and 1999, spoke candidly on Thursday to a television program saying that she was planning to fight for custody of the children. Her lawyer though was hesitant to support her claims later that day. The custody hearing set for Monday has now been postponed a week.
Michael Jackson died of heart failure aged 50 in Los Angeles on 25th June 2009.
